Rhetta's Banquet of Great Recipes!
"The Family Favorites"
Volume One
A series of three volumes
By R. I. Little-Anderson
This little "Cook Book" is mixed
with a bowl full of love. Enjoy!
Introduction
In
this cookbook you will find 56 favorite family recipes, and all of the recipes
in this book have been collected over 50 years
and are time-tested. These fantastic recipes are from grandmothers, mothers,
mother-in-law's, dear sisters, sisters-in-law, and very dear friends.
The
Banquet of Great Recipes is in three sections: 15 main dishes, 13 salads, soup,
dip recipes and many more; 28 dessert recipes, such as squares, pastry, and
excellent cake recipes from the very best cooks I know. There is one recipe called "Pineapple
Delight" that is indeed a delight.
You will want to try this one for sure!
Other recipes you will find in the book are Boston Baked Beans – my grandmother used
this recipe, my mother used it, and now I use it. Another recipe, "Hamburger Soup"
and I remember my first reaction when my friend gave me this recipe. I said to
her that it sure doesn't sound so great, but I was mistaken. My friend told me not to judge until I try
the recipe! She was right, it is
delicious, and the great thing is that it makes 18 bowls of soup, and freezes
well.
This
cookbook is in a series of three volumes:
Volume one covers the favorite family recipes, volume two is all about
using herbs and spices in a simplified, easy way, and volume three gives
helpful tips on cooking, cleaning, and entertaining. All three books have a large font size for
easy reading, and are plain, simple books, no fancy colored pages, just
"fantastic recipes.
"Bon
appetite!
